Our route mostly followed Andy Robinson's guidebook 'The End to End Trail'.
Andy has a website for the book, now in its second edition, at http://www.longwalks.org.uk
We did however make a number of changes:
- We chose to walk the Pennine Way from the start.
- We live in the North Pennines, so diverted home. Our routed left the Pennine Way at Garrigill and rejoined it where it leaves Hadrians Wall.
- We had previously walked the West Highland Way so devised our own route from Drymen to Fort William - 'The Wet 'n Wild Way!'
